Hand Conditions
Hand
Hand ailments can develop over years or can arise acutely from the fingertips to the palm. Fingers that lock, pain with gripping objects, thickening of the skin of the palm, joints that are stiff and hurt with motion all represent common hand problems.

Wrist
The wrist, located where the forearm meets the hand, is susceptible to trauma and degenerative conditions which can significantly alter function of this important joint. Pain with wrist motion, an enlarging mass, and discomfort with simple activities such as opening a jar can all be related to treatable wrist conditions.
Nerve
Tingling in the hand and fingers can signify a pinched nerve as it runs from the neck to the finger tips. Without proper attention this can lead to permanent numbness and loss of function of the hand.
Trauma
Even with best efforts to protect ourselves, traumatic injuries of the hand can happen at any time. Sprains, fractures (broken bones), dislocations can occur as the result of falls or sports injuries. Machines and sharp objects can lead to injuries to tendons, nerves and finger tips. We have a vast experience in treating all trauma from minor cuts to complete amputations. This includes treating fractures of the fingers, hand and wrist both operatively and non-operatively.
